Just a few miles south of Huntington via California's Pacific Coast Highway is the picturesque art/beach colony of Laguna Beach. Continue south to the man-made harbor at Dana Point. Then make a short trip down the old El Camino Real through San Clemente and San Onofre.

Artist Paul Gavin, one of the first artists to focus full time on Huntington Beach images, lived and worked in Huntington Beach from 1976 to 1989, first on 11th St. and then upstairs at 115 Main Street while living at 5th and Walnut next door to the Surf Theater until these buildings were demolished.
