The Runways of Miramar
The runways of MCAS Miramar point to the La Jolla Hills and the Pacific Ocean that are bathed in golden coastal sunset as the Blue Angel diamond and two solos fly over the base and across the sun and an F6F flies with an F-18 to represent the Blue Angels first and 60th years.
The V-22 Osprey also flies over the base as this 2006 air show was the first time an Osprey has visited MCAS Miramar.

The U.S. Marine Corps and all our men and women in uniform have been a major focus of the Gavins' work, honoring our troops in art and design. See, for example, Paul's painting on the wall of MCAS Miramar Theater of the world's largest known mural of the USMC emblem — and Kimberleigh's graphic designs on MCAS Miramar apparel and posters.
