A Peaceful Location
Horses and riders have played a major role in San Juan's history and the city is still home to a large equestrian population. Familiar with riding and at home on a horse, I grew up on my grandparents' Ventura County cattle ranch, learning to ride when learning to walk, and rounding up cattle since elementary school. Not far away from San Juan, Tustin's Skyline Drive provides similar panoramic views. • San Juan Capistrano, with its beautiful valley setting and the historic Mission and Return of the Swallows has been the subject of much of Paul and Kimberleigh's works.
