MCAS El Toro Air Show 1991

The Sound of Freedom — 1991 was the year of Operation Desert Storm and along with the many men and women of the Marine Corps from MCAS El Toro and MCAS Tustin who served in the Persian Gulf were the two squadrons represented in this oil painting by Artist Paul Gavin. VMFA-314 and VMFA(AW)-121 were just returning home when this image was released for the 1991 Air Show showing the "01" aircraft from each squadron on an ear-splitting flyby framed by the United States and Marine Corps flags. The painting's title: "The Sound of Freedom."
